CmapTools v7 has been updated to work with OpenJDK Eclipse Temurin 21. It nows bundles OpenJDK Eclipse Temurin 21 as part of the installation.

This single CmapTools download includes the following languages: English, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, French, Greek, Catalan, Euskera, Turkish, Swedish, Finnish, Estonian, Dutch, German, Chinese, Galician, Japanese and Czech. After installed, the program will launch in the language of your Operating System, or in English by default. You can change the language in the Preferences panel once CmapTools is running.

System Requirements

CmapTools v7 and above runs on Java 21 (LTS). A 64-bit Java 21 runtime OpenJDK Eclipse Temurin 21 is embedded directly within each installer package, so no separate Java installation is required.

Windows:

  • Windows 11 and Windows 10 (64-bit)
  • Architecture: 64-bit (x64)

macOS:

  • macOS 11.0 (Big Sur) or later (including macOS Monterey, Ventura, Sonoma, and Sequoia)
  • Architecture: Native packages available for both Apple Silicon(M1/M2/M3/M4 (arm64) and Intel (x64)

Linux:

  • 64-bit Linux distributions (Ubuntu 20.04+, Debian 11+, RHEL / Fedora 8+, openSUSE 15+) and Raspberry Pi 5 (Raspberry Pi OS 64-bit)
  • Architecture: 64-bit x86_64 and 64-bit ARM64

The basic IHMC CmapTools software is free for educational institutions and US Federal Government Agencies, and at this time the software is being offered free as a beta test version to other users, including commercial users.
